I’m want to relocate to Austin. Input?
I’m hoping to get some genuine feedback here. My situation is kinda bad and I’ve always wanted to move to Austin. I saw another ad of a guy saying he’s never been there before, and he’d be going with less than $1000 and may have to stay in a shelter until he could find a job and a place. That’s the case with me as well. (I know that may sound tacky and it’s looked down upon, but as much as I **** to say it I’m kinda desperate.) I’ve seen a ton of answers on here about people who love living there.
I’ve worked in mostly retail and call centers and I live really cheap. I’m a computer geek, though I’m not certified (I heard Dell is around that area. ) I saw some apartments really cheap on apartment guide and some affordable rooms on craigslist.
One thing I’m wondering if there are any poker rooms there? It’s become my dream to be a poker dealer and want to go to dealer school and deal poker in a casino.
Also, I’d like to know if there are any mixed martial arts training facilities there.
I also hear the schools are good down there. I’d like to go back to college for accounting. I heard UT is the best that there is down there, is that true?
Finally, I’m a musician, so I know Austin would fit well.
Mainly hoping to find a place around $400-$500/mo and any kind of job. Does anyone know anything about the shelter down there?
To Austin natives, any advice or any kind of input you could offer? Thanks a bunch in advance.

Where should I save up to travel to?
would like to save up to go somewhere far away.I would like some suggestions.I plan on saving up to take one trip by myself and then never again going anywhere far away.Because I don’t make that much money anyway and have other responsibilities. So Iam trying to think of a trip somewhere that would be something I would never forget.I have always loved to travel but have never had the opportunity to.
Iam from the US.I would like to go to somewhere thats not in the southeastern US.I love anything to do with history or museums and nice restaurants.I **** casinos and cruises.I also don’t like going to bars or clubs.Iam 28.I like places with nice scenery.Iam thinking maybe more of somewhere I could get a guided tour of.So if any of you can think of somewhere in the world or a place in the US that sounds interesting, tell me.Thanks.

Has anyone READ “Casino Royale” before seeing movie?
I read Ian Flemings original Bond thriller just before the 2007 came out. I have to admit to all 007 fans i did not like either one. Not the book or the new movie. Didnt like the 1967 version either. Maybe one reason (for me) i am not a gambler-know nothing about the rules-have no interest in it. I have read some of the other Fleming material and found them good to OK. Many older Bond fans like the GRITTINESS of the original 1953 novel. I did not. Much more like an R-rated detective novel. There is also the 1955 (I think?????) t.v. playhouse version of Casino Royale floating around which i have never seen. Has anyone seen this on video? Anygood?
So far i agree with WOLF. I have not heard of it as having been FEMMED up. Most modern day actors do not have the maturity of a few decades ago. If you don’t project to specific audiences (Jason Bourne, Austin Powers, etc. all too immature) you lose some market share also. In the case of Casino Royale 2007 it had too many “Lethal Weapon” elements in it for me. I was introduced to Bond on the Big screen, with the flashy scenery and women and gadgets and car chases and gun battles at the end. Not to mention the 007 soundtracks.
