hutchyw117 asked:

I play alot of online poker and have done quite well so i thought i’d have a go at live poker. The main difference between the two pokers is tells so I read a few poker tell books to train myself to spot poker tells at the table. So this question is about tells in a poker hand – Hope you can help:

I entered a 45 player £20 tourney at my local casino and managed to get to 4 handed as chip leader when I get A Q under the gun so I raise to 5 times the big blind, everyone folds round to the big blind who is 2nd in chips calls (I’ve played with the BB alot and know that he protects his blinds to the death and would call my raise with any hand from AA – 7 2) so I can’t really put him on a hand at this point. The flop is Q 4 4 – he checks and I check to trap – turn is a 7 – he checks and I bet and he re raises me all in which was alot of chips and a very big re raise – if I called and won I was mega chip leader, if I call and loose and very short stacked. I try and get him talking to see how strong he was and he said two key things:

I said “do you have K Q or a 4″ and he seemed quite happy about this question and said ” well I guess you can’t beat those two hands then” so then I asked him how much it was to call and he says “about 90,000 but you’d still have about million chips if you called”

So my questions are:
1. Would you fold or call?
2. From what he says do you think he is weak or strong? and why?

Thanks for your help!

BATMAN asked:

The writers of this book are convinced that another major theological development is called for in this last part of the twentieth century. The need arises from growing knowledge of Christian origins, and involves a recognition that Jesus was (as he is presented in Acts 2.21) `a man approved by God’ for a special role within the divine purpose, and that the later conception of him as God incarnate, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity living a human life, is a mythological or poetic way of expressing his significance for us. This recognition is called for in the interests of truth….For Christianity can only remain honestly believable by being continuously open to the truth.

The original Trinity concept was not in the Original books? So whom started this idea in 1611 and 325CE for their own greed? Surely they didn’t want to gamble in the church but making a casino with the Romans, well thats ok, right?
Some three centuries after Jesus’ death, culminating with the Nicene Conferences of 325 A.D., a politically motivated church solidified the doctrine of `God Incarnate.’ In THE MYTH OF GOD INCARNATE (Ibid., p. 17), Francis Young makes an interesting and critical observation, pointing out that the focus of the Gospels is quite different from that of Jesus’ own teachings:
Young goes farther, arguing that Paul never claimed Jesus was God (Ibid., p. 20-22). Whether Paul himself believed Jesus to be God, or not, it was the Pauline tradition which eventually developed the doctrine of God incarnate, culminating with its formal doctrinal statement in the Nicene Creed.

I am actually looking for a report for a man that was arrested at the Downstream Casino near Joplin and then was transported to Miami Oklahoma for booking. If it matters, I believe this was a federal action since the Casino is considered federal.
