Movies that got bad reviews but you liked?

One movie that got really bad reviews but I really liked was The Da Vinci Code. I don’t think this film deserved to get that many bad reviews. I thought it was actually good. I don’t know whether the bad reception was due to the anti-Christian content or because of the way it was directed but I really got into this film. I haven’t read the Dan Brown’s book so I can’t compare it to that. The plot really drew me in. The fact that there could be a conspiracy about the true origins of Christianity and who Jesus really was and if how the world would react if this secret was revealed, I just loved this part. I know it’s fiction but still!

Another movie that god bad reviews but I enjoyed was Quantum of Solace. I don’t get the **** towards Daniel Craig, I still think he’s the best Bond. This wasn’t as good as Casino Royale but it was still really good. The only thing that was bad about this film was its confusing plot.

What are some movies that you liked but everyone seems to ****?
@Mike S I’ve also seen Layer Cake too! You can see in that film why Craig was picked to play 007.

Cosplay asked:

Plan on getting into Blackjack, specifically at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, FL so if you know about that place and tips on it, I especially want to hear from you, and would like to learn some tips, hints, etc. to get a heads up on it. Always like to gain as much knowledge as possible before getting into something I like and/or am serious about.

I’m not going in desperately trying to earn money or spending my last dime on this effort. More of a hobby to get into really. I will only be bringing what I don’t mind losing but I do plan on winning. Could use some extra income. Are there any books I should read or sites I should go to first to play or learn from? Are there good days, bad days? I keep seeing tips on “Splitting” when have certain cards. What does that mean?
Any tips and info will be much appreciated. Thank you all for reading and answering. Good luck to all as I know we all could use some extra help. Take care.

Poker – Trying to find a real game?

E.W. asked:

I recently took up a large interest in poker (primarily Hold’em) and would love to find some real games that went around. I’ve plowed through three poker books (including Brunson’s Super System) and have been playing a ridiculous amount online.

I do have some problems with online poker. 1. Not only is it incredibly difficult to spot tells or betting patterns because people shuffle tables so often, but the games seem so non-personal that I get bored way more quickly. It’s not that I start to dislike poker (not at all), but rather that I want to interact with others when doing so.

I keep reading about “finding local games” and things of that sort, but I have no idea where to even begin finding these. I live in Florida (nowhere near a casino that I know of, and besides, casinos are ‘eh’ to me) so I don’t have Atlantic City or Vegas or anything like that. I would be far more into a home game or a regular game place.

Does anybody have any suggestions or do I have to hope to get lucky and meet someone who happens to run a weekly poker game?

sconeweazel1213 asked:

I need names for:
-A former model. Now she’s a waitress in a casino, a mother of seven.
-An online stalker, the abused former model’s old husband.
-A responsible 19 year old who has always had to take care of his brothers and sisters and who never got the chance to live his own life.
-A 17 year old drug addict with anger management problems who beats his girlfriend and fears he’ll turn out just like his father.
-A 15 year old with a fatal heart condition that will end her life in a matter of months who is trying to find herself and fix her family before it’s too late for them all.
-14 year old twin brothers who have only each other to rely on and who are called gay/harassed at school (they’re not, they’re just very close).
-A depressed, harrassed, defiantly different12 year old girl who is stalked online by her own father and who ends up killing herself.
-An innocent 8 year old boy who never had any idea anything was strange about his family.
Thanks! All feedback is greatly appreciated! (Ten points to the best answer…and does my book/characters sound good?)
