It’s just finding a convincing way to say “I can’t come home this weekend” or “pick me up on Saturday instead of Friday” without having to go into details?
what would you suggest?

I come from a religious ( Pentecostal) family, and one of my secular friends just turned 21. She wants to have her party at one of the major casino’s in our state.
What will set them (parents) off is the dancing and drinking. Plus its a CASINO ( gambling)!
I really want to go because its gonna be more than just dancing etc. This casino is HUGE and there is shopping, entertainment, dinner, and some sight seeing. It doesn’t have to be what one typically associates with a casino. Plus, I don’t know when I will have another opportunity with friends ( they are seniors and one is going to china soon).
I have no problem with dancing, drinking or gambling.
My family usually picks me up Friday night and drops me back off Sunday night. The party is Friday and ends Saturday morning (1am).
Should they come get me Saturday or should I just spend the weekend on campus? I would rather go home Saturday than spend the weekend here! I need $$$ for books and more stuff for the dorm.
I’m sad……

anna13 asked:

I’ve decided to hold my sister’s bachelorette party at a hotel/casino. I’ve booked two large rooms, which will accommodate all of the guests overnight. I’m not sure what to do about food and drinks. We’ll be having games and gifts early in the night in the rooms, and then going to the bars and casino later. Do I need to provide a full dinner at some point? Or is it ok for me to just serve snacks during the games/gifts portion of the night? It is ok to have everyone buy their own drinks at the bar? I will be paying for the rooms, which will pretty much tap me out money-wise.
I’d love the idea of splitting the cost with the others in the bridal party, but the only members are the bridesmaids, who are both 16 and have no money, and the flower girl, who is 9. Otherwise, I’d love to hit them all up for a chip-in.
