Here are my choices for the top 5 movies of 2006:
5. Casino Royale — This had to make the list somewhere, for all you die hard Bond fans. This really was one of the best Bond films to date, in my opinion. Full of action
4. The Illusionist — I know a lot of you will disagree with ths one, but I watched it and really really enjoyed it. I was entranced throughout the whole movie and didn’t even see the ending coming. Plus I really like Edward Norton. Watch it, if you haven’t seen it already.
3. Superman Returns — Ordinarily, I’m not a big fan of remakes, but I really liked Superman Returns. It had a theme similar to the older Superman movies. I think Christopher Reeve would be proud.
2. The Da Vinci Code — I’m a big fan of Tom Hanks, and ordinarily I’d put his movies in first place. However, reading the book first,like I did, the movie wasn’t quite what you’d expect. It wasn’t a bad movie…Just not what I expected.
1. Pirates of the Carribean — Great sequel. Nuff said
since they weren’t made in the right order with casino royal as the first one..and on wikipedia there are more movies then books…???
I remember hearing something like Casino Royale was the first one based on one of his books.
But is that true? were all of em based on books by the same name?
Which were and which werent?
Or is it just a new film of the first ever james bond book but has never been made into a film before?

I’m so confused. Ian Flemming didn’t write a book called Quantum of solace, after casino royale it was live and let die ( i think, maybe not but oh well). Is the film based on the 2nd book, another one of the books or is it a new made up story line to carry on the first film?
