Taran Wanderer asked:

I loved it…it was amazing..I have these two friends who hated it because it wasn’t like the book, but I say, Who cares if it wasn’t like the book, it was a good movie. They totally reinvented Bond, it gave the series a fresh start and that’s exactly what the movies need. I think the Bond movies are amazing, but they just kind of dragged on and people lost their intrest…what do you guys think?

I wish they would. In the book the last line of Casino Royale is, ‘The bitc* is dead’. I’d like to see Daniel Craig say it.

clomtancy asked:

I am amazed by people’s comments on this movie. Its all most as if they didnt know what it was till the day it hit theatres.
It was never supposed to be your typical Bond movie.

No Q
No high tech toys
No Bond Girls

So get over it all ready.

it was a great movie.

They wanted to do a new look to Bond, based on a book that was just as simple
ummm most bond girls dont die

and i dont seem to recall his car having heat seaking missiles or anything else we always see.

made.in_84 asked:

Right after he and Ace are talking in a restaurant about Nicky’s being in the ‘Black Book,’ the scene changes and Nicky (Peschi) starts narrating about himself and his people going into business for themselves. At the beginning of the scene change, there is a rock and roll song playing, if it helps its the same song I can’t find in the movie Blow. I just want to know what song it is and who sings it!! Thanks.

Replace Judy Dench as M in the Bond films?

The Wild Geese asked:

think Judy Dench screwed up the character M big time, not to sound sexist but M should be played by a MAN cuz M in the original movies was witty and read everyone around him like a book, he always had Bond cornered, Judy Dench’s portrayal makes M an angry old woman who’s feminine instincts betrays her. Judy Dench doesn’t have the wit the the old M has, not even close, she’s really bad, I rmember in Dr. No, LOOKING DOWN at some papers, M tells Bond to leave the Barette behind after they replaced it witha Walther PPK, he reads Bond and Monypenny like a book! In Casino Royale, M says’ I knew it was 2 early to promote you’ after he screwed up. her feminine instincts betrays her, i wish they’d hurry up and replace that ancient ugly toad

I don’t care what else she acted in and how good she was and what she was nominated for, she ***** as M. As a fan of the 1st 3 Bond films, i say she’s horrible.

…The characters Moneypenny and Q exists in the book Casino Royale (of 1953), or no? In the 2006′s movie, they do not appear, but the production may have deleted the two characters from the script. Someone help me?

P.S.: Someone answer this question: http://br.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuDpj0dyQhQVoWuN7e.Da9rJ6gt.;_ylv=3?qid=20071108160100AArF4cA (if, Moneypenny and Q exists in the book Casino Royale, this question are in Portuguese, but I accept answers in English, the only answer is very bad). Since Casino Royale was a success, do you think the older movies will be remade?

NYCPulpWriter asked:

Or will the more recent books be used as reference? I’m talking about the books by John Gardner and Raymond Benson (both of which have done a great job I might add)
EDIT:

So what about the books made by Gardner and Benson? Should they be made into movies?

westphalia1 asked:

I read Ian Flemings original Bond thriller just before the 2007 came out. I have to admit to all 007 fans i did not like either one. Not the book or the new movie. Didnt like the 1967 version either. Maybe one reason (for me) i am not a gambler-know nothing about the rules-have no interest in it. I have read some of the other Fleming material and found them good to OK. Many older Bond fans like the GRITTINESS of the original 1953 novel. I did not. Much more like an R-rated detective novel. There is also the 1955 (I think?????) t.v. playhouse version of Casino Royale floating around which i have never seen. Has anyone seen this on video? Anygood?
So far i agree with WOLF. I have not heard of it as having been FEMMED up. Most modern day actors do not have the maturity of a few decades ago. If you don’t project to specific audiences (Jason Bourne, Austin Powers, etc. all too immature) you lose some market share also. In the case of Casino Royale 2007 it had too many “Lethal Weapon” elements in it for me. I was introduced to Bond on the Big screen, with the flashy scenery and women and gadgets and car chases and gun battles at the end. Not to mention the 007 soundtracks.
