The Feared Gambler asked:

A professor from the Philippines claims that he has develop a gambling system that works in casinos. He sounds very confident that he offers a full refund of the book if someone could show him a gambling system more superior than his system.

  1. Casino owners have a saying: “If you want to come and gamble, we’ll be glad to have you. If you have system, we’ll send a plane.”

  2. The laws of mathematics are pretty unforgiving. The only system that can possibly work is card counting at blackjack. That is keeping track of the cards that have already been played. In Las Vegas, if a card counter starts making money, even playing for small stakes, he will be barred from the casino and he will definitely be remembered if he tries to come back. Most card counters are so bad at it that they lose money anyhow and the casinos just let them play. In Atlantic City, the law does not allow casinos to bar card counters, so they shuffle the deck so often that card counting is useless.

  3. I’ve got a system that works. I play red or black at the roulette table, never change the color, and gulp down free drinks as fast as I can. I lose about once every 36 spins, but only $5. In that time I’ll have drunk $30 worth of booze. I can drink myself silly on $10! Since I would pay more than that at a liquor store, and a LOT more at a bar, I consider myself ahead for the evening.

Oh, and if I spent $20 for a book and then lost $2000 because it didn’t work, would getting my twenty bucks back make a bit of difference?

  5. There is no system that works in every situation. A system may work in the long run, but be prepared for some big losses in the short run.

  6. All those claims are scams! If you want to play and win then check out a site like for some good tips. You can also get free money to play with at online casinos. Good luck!

  7. There is no gambling system that works in the casinos as far as I know. I have been a Table Game Dealer two years now. There is a book that tell you when to hit or stay. Most people who use the book is still losing. And the book is writing by the casino.

  8. Have you ever went into a casino and said wow this place must have cost a billion dollars to build. Well it is the players who play all tables games and slots that help fund these places my friend. The only sure way to win in a casino is not to play at all. All games in a casino have a house edge, so you will lose money in the long run, so no matter how good someones system is, you can be sure it is a bunch of crap. You can’t outrun the odds in the long-run, casino are here to make money, not to lose it.
