Casey asked:

I just went to their website to book a room http://www.barbarycoastcasino.com and they aren’t even listed with Coast Casinos anymore. I was just on the site last month, did they get bought out??

This place was fantastic… Right in the middle of the strip and affordable! The rooms weren’t halfway decent either after last year’s remodel, adding large wall-mounted HDTVs and all. Very sad to see this casino go =(

  1. They were sold to Harrah’s a while back. It always take a while for the full transfer to take place. You can probably find the Barbary Coast at this web site now.

You’re right the BC was on the Coast web site as recently as 3 days ago. Not to worry the BC is still there and open for business. We stayed at the Orleans for 10 days in December, we always have to check out the BC, it’s one of our favorites.

They are still taking reservations. My brother and his buddies go to LV every year for the NCAA BB tournament, they will be staying at the BC in 3 weeks.

    Here’s the new web address

    phone number for reservations

  2. It is now called Bills Gamblin’ Hall and Saloon. Pretty snazy name, just smells of Vegas. If you google barbary coast casino you can find out more.

  4. It’s now renamed Bill’s Gamblin Hall and Saloon because the founders of Harrah’s bought it. It was named after Bill Harrah.

  7. Just got back from vegas and the transfer to a Harrah’s property is underway. The casino was actually closed-pity as they have some of the best drink’s deals on the strip. I’m sure it’ll re open and be the usual Harrah’s expensive experience.

  10. Technically, Harrahs and Coast Casinos did a property swap: Harrah’s got the BC and Coast got some property at another location on LV Blvd that they will develop. Harrahs now owns all the property on that side of LV Blvd from the Paris to Harrahs, along with Casears and the Rio.

Remember, the only thing that is constant in Vegas is CHANGE!
