Shay asked:

I’ve been working in promotional marketing as a brand ambassador/promotional model for quite a while now and I’ve been booked for both non-professional bartending work and low end liquor promos. Anybody who does it knows that event and promotional work is very sporadic and now that I’m ready to go to college, I’d like to find a steady liquor serving gig to put myself though school. So which pays better, professional bartending or doing high end liquor promotions? Also I’d really like to bartend at a casino. So which place averages more tips for bartenders between night clubs and casinos?

My birthday is not until April but I was wondering when I should order my plane ticket and when I should book my hotel. I found a package on Expedia for 2 plane tickets from Minneapolis and room at the Trump hotel for 3 night for $830. So it will only be $415 per person which sounded good to me but I’m not too sure. It does not have a casino but it seems crazy nice! Does anyone have any opinions about where I should stay? Also I was wondering what clubs I should go to and anything at all!!! Like I said none of us have a clue what to do!

We’re young 24 and 28. We will be checking out the casinos, but not super interested in that, not interested in the shows either. We want to do fun things that aren’t super typical.

I’ve already booked the following:

Sundance Helicopters – Helicopter flight over Hoover dam.
Sun Buggy Fun Rentals – Mini Baja race through the desert.

I’m probably going to book a spa treatment for my wife and I as well. Gotta get a good massage ya know.

Probably going to drive to ghost town Rhyolite for a photo op. Kinda boring but hey good pictures.

If I was going alone I’d check out the Bunny Ranch (LOL) but that’s out.

So as you can see we’re looking for the fun stuff, not the gambling, and shows.

Any good paintball joints? I also enjoy handguns and will be packing my guns, maybe an outdoor gun range?

Let me see what you got!

Mr Anonymous asked:

One movie that got really bad reviews but I really liked was The Da Vinci Code. I don’t think this film deserved to get that many bad reviews. I thought it was actually good. I don’t know whether the bad reception was due to the anti-Christian content or because of the way it was directed but I really got into this film. I haven’t read the Dan Brown’s book so I can’t compare it to that. The plot really drew me in. The fact that there could be a conspiracy about the true origins of Christianity and who Jesus really was and if how the world would react if this secret was revealed, I just loved this part. I know it’s fiction but still!

Another movie that god bad reviews but I enjoyed was Quantum of Solace. I don’t get the **** towards Daniel Craig, I still think he’s the best Bond. This wasn’t as good as Casino Royale but it was still really good. The only thing that was bad about this film was its confusing plot.

What are some movies that you liked but everyone seems to ****?
@Mike S I’ve also seen Layer Cake too! You can see in that film why Craig was picked to play 007.

Always like to gain as much knowledge as possible before getting into something I like and/or am serious about.

I’m not going in desperately trying to earn money or spending my last dime on this effort. More of a hobby to get into really. I will only be bringing what I don’t mind losing but I do plan on winning. Could use some extra income. Are there any books I should read or sites I should go to first to play or learn from? Are there good days, bad days? I keep seeing tips on “Splitting” when have certain cards. What does that mean?
Any tips and info will be much appreciated. Thank you all for reading and answering. Good luck to all as I know we all could use some extra help. Take care.

E.W. asked:

I recently took up a large interest in poker (primarily Hold’em) and would love to find some real games that went around. I’ve plowed through three poker books (including Brunson’s Super System) and have been playing a ridiculous amount online.

I do have some problems with online poker. 1. Not only is it incredibly difficult to spot tells or betting patterns because people shuffle tables so often, but the games seem so non-personal that I get bored way more quickly. It’s not that I start to dislike poker (not at all), but rather that I want to interact with others when doing so.

I keep reading about “finding local games” and things of that sort, but I have no idea where to even begin finding these. I live in Florida (nowhere near a casino that I know of, and besides, casinos are ‘eh’ to me) so I don’t have Atlantic City or Vegas or anything like that. I would be far more into a home game or a regular game place.

Does anybody have any suggestions or do I have to hope to get lucky and meet someone who happens to run a weekly poker game?
